Frequently Asked Questions
SMI is a living campus in the early stages of creation — envisioned as part retreat sanctuary, part storybook village, and part research and learning space. It’s a place where healing, intuition, community, and elemental living converge — rooted in ancient wisdom and aligned with future sustainability. We're currently focused on intentional planning, community listening, and early collaborations.
We’re rooted in two places:
Our office is located in the Old Southwest area of downtown Roanoke, where we share space with Maplewood Studios. This is where we currently offer 1:1 healing services, women’s circles, and small group events while actively building community and collaborative partnerships.
We also steward 15 acres of sacred land in the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains — a wild and beautiful canvas that serves as our proof of concept for the larger vision. This land will host our first-phase retreat center with a storybook aesthetic, built slowly and intentionally as we phase into the full-scale Sacred Mountain Institute campus.
Currently, you can book separately on each collaborator's own website link. View the ABOUT PAGE and you will find a profile and link to each collaborator.
It’s the seed of one. While the current 15-acre land will remain primarily for education, healing, and gatherings, our long-term vision includes a larger intentional village campus with regenerative systems, sacred economy, and soul-aligned living. This initial phase is helping us prototype what that can become.
Not at this time.
We’re currently focused on logistics, feasibility studies, and sustainable phasing of the retreat center and campus. This includes zoning research, infrastructure planning, and community listening — ensuring that what we build truly honors the land and the vision.
While we are not seeking traditional investors or open fundraising at this stage, we are actively exploring advisory relationships and aligned co-creation with those who have experience in:
Retreat & wellness campus planning
Sustainable land development
Handcrafted building & trades
Community-based economic models
Research in holistic education, healing arts, or consciousness
If you feel called to support through wisdom, resources, or professional guidance, we’re open to quiet conversations rooted in respect and long-term resonance.
There are many powerful ways to support this vision — and most don’t involve money at all.
We believe the new gold standard is shared wisdom, not just capital. Sacred Mountain Institute is growing into a global community of teachers, healers, researchers, artists, and seekers — and every story, skill, and connection matters.
We are in the early stages of developing a mobile app that will serve as a digital extension of the land — a place where people around the world can access sacred knowledge, participate in virtual circles, share ancient practices, and grow alongside us, no matter where they live.
You can support this unfolding in deeply meaningful ways by:
Sharing your voice or skillset (teaching, writing, storytelling, design, wellness, education, sustainability, etc.)
Becoming a founding contributor or collaborator within the app
Spreading the word to those who might feel the call
Offering insight or experience in areas like open-source learning, intuitive tech, or global community building
Simply joining our email list or attending a local gathering to stay close to the heart of it all
Support is not always financial — it’s energetic, relational, creative, and sacred. If you feel aligned, we’d love to walk this unfolding with you.
