Have you ever said, “I just feel things,” or “I saw it in my mind’s eye,” or “I swear I heard something but no one was there”? You may be more intuitive than you realize.

But intuition isn’t just “one thing.” It speaks in multiple languages — called the Clair Senses — and each one offers a unique doorway to your soul.

Whether you’re deeply on the path or just starting to wake up, learning which clair is strongest in you will help you unlock more trust, clarity, and alignment.

Let’s explore how your soul is already speaking.

The Sacred Why

Every single person has intuitive gifts — but most don’t recognize them because they’ve been taught to ignore or invalidate the way they receive.

The truth is, your intuition may not look like visions or psychic downloads. It might feel like goosebumps, hear like a whisper, or just know without proof.

These inner senses are sacred, subtle, and powerful. And the more you understand how yours naturally works, the more magnetic and confident you become — in business, parenting, love, and life.

The 8 Clair Senses (and How to Spot Yours)

1. Clairvoyance – “Clear Seeing”

You receive intuitive messages through internal images, visions, colors, symbols, or flashes of insight.

Signs:

  • You think in pictures.

  • You daydream vividly.

  • You see symbols, beings, or colors during meditation.

💡 Practice: Visualize a flower or object in your mind. Can you “see” it clearly? Practice refining that inner screen.

2. Clairaudience – “Clear Hearing”

You hear inner guidance through internal voices, sounds, tones, or spirit whispers.

Signs:

  • You often get “random” songs stuck in your head with meaningful lyrics.

  • You hear your name being called or messages internally.

  • You’re sensitive to music or tones.

💡 Practice: Sit in silence and ask, “What do I need to hear today?” Tune in and allow sound or words to arrive.

3. Clairsentience – “Clear Feeling”

You feel energy, emotions, and physical sensations in your body.

Signs:

  • You pick up on others' moods instantly.

  • You experience tightness, tingling, or warmth in your body during intuitive moments.

  • You're easily moved by others' emotions.

💡 Practice: When thinking of a decision, tune into how your body responds. Expansion = yes. Tightness = no.

4. Claircognizance – “Clear Knowing”

You receive sudden insights, ideas, or truth downloads without logical reasoning.

Signs:

  • You “just know” what will happen or what someone is thinking.

  • You have quick insights during conversations or spiritual work.

  • You often know things you weren’t taught.

💡 Practice: Ask a question and write down the first knowing that comes. Don’t overthink — clarity often arrives fast and quiet.

5. Clairalience – “Clear Smelling”

You intuitively smell scents without a physical source, often linked to spirit, memory, or messages.

Signs:

  • You smell flowers, perfume, tobacco, or food linked to someone who’s passed.

  • Certain smells bring intense memories or feelings unexpectedly.

💡 Practice: Before meditation, ask for a spirit or guide to send a scent. Breathe deeply and notice what arises.

6. Clairgustance – “Clear Tasting”

You taste something intuitively without having eaten it — often connected to a spirit or emotion.

Signs:

  • You taste unusual or familiar flavors spontaneously.

  • A taste reminds you strongly of someone, even when you’re not eating it.

  • This often pairs with mediumship.

💡 Practice: Think of someone you’ve lost. Ask, “Is there a flavor that connects us?” See what arrives.

7. Clairtangency – “Clear Touch” (also called psychometry)

You receive information or energy impressions through physical touch — especially objects or sacred places.

Signs:

  • You get emotional or energetic sensations from touching items or being in historical places.

  • You can feel the "story" of an object or location.

  • You’re very tactile and aware through your hands.

💡 Practice: Hold a meaningful object (like a stone, photo, or heirloom) and notice any impressions, images, or feelings that arise.

8. Clairempathy – “Clear Emotional Feeling”

You psychically feel and absorb emotions from people, animals, or the collective.

Different from clairsentience, which relates to bodily sensations, clairempathy focuses specifically on emotional energy — often without logical explanation.

Signs:

  • You suddenly feel an emotion that’s not yours.

  • You “know” how someone feels without them telling you.

  • You’re emotionally overwhelmed in crowds or conflict, even if nothing is said.

💡 Practice: Sit quietly and tune into your heart center. Ask: Is this emotion mine, or am I feeling someone else’s truth? Practice releasing what’s not yours with intention and breath.

BONUS: Clairintellect – “Clear Thinking” (less commonly discussed)

You receive messages through structured inner thought — your intuition comes as logic, phrasing, and language.

Signs:

  • You receive “downloaded” full thoughts or sentences in your mind.

  • It feels like a mental transcript from a guide or higher self.

  • You often channel in writing or speech.

💡 Practice: Ask a question and begin journaling. Let thoughts flow without editing — intuitive logic often sounds like “your own voice” but with elevated wisdom.

Embodied Reflection

Ask yourself:

  • What do I notice first when I enter a space or meet someone?

  • Do I feel, see, hear, or simply know?

  • Which clair sense feels most natural — not forced?

🕯 Try This Practice:

Sit in meditation. Ask your Higher Self:

“Which clair wants to speak through me today?”

Let your awareness drift — no need to control it. Trust what arrives.

A Note From My Journey

For the longest time, I questioned my intuitive gifts because I didn’t receive loud or dramatic visions. But once I started doing deeper group work led by a trusted teacher, something shifted.

That’s when I realized my strongest senses were clairvoyance and claircognizance — clear images and deep knowings that came before I could logically explain them.

When I stopped doubting what I saw and knew — and began trusting what I received — everything began to align.Intuition isn’t about being right all the time. It’s about remembering your soul’s native language.
